With just a few days left in 2017 it’s time to take a break from picking holes in other people’s puzzles and compose some of my own. To that end, welcome to Junk House – an online riddle which I’ll be updating with new and more difficult levels each Christmas from now until the end of time (or until I get bored, whichever comes first).
At the moment there are five levels, and the difficulty should be only just scratching “tricky”. If you have even a passing familiarity with classic online riddles like NotPron or Amnesya then the first few screens should be a breeze. That said, there should be something new there even if you’re a seasoned HTML-based problem-solver.
Never heard of an online riddle before? Junk House should be more or less self-explanatory, but here are a few tips:
- When you enter your answers, always do so in lowercase lettering.
- Look at the title of each page for a clue as to what to do.
- There are no hints hidden in the source code!
Too easy? Too hard? Stuck, or think it’s broken? Get in touch and let me know. And if you enjoy it, tell your friends. Happy new year, and I’ll see you in the next one!
